  • Pardon Me For Not Writing

    Dear Readers:

It's been awhile I don't write as much, but since politics are annoying, social causes are useless and discussing interesting points has been changed to boring themes I just came to deal with my own issues of trying to improve my health instead.

It's not easy waking up early as 4am to travel 50 miles to work and then back four days a week. Sometimes by Tuesday night (during my first weeks of working) I was in my bed crying in pain. Then my hands were losing strength, my right foot started to bother me to the point it was a pain to stand up during my shift. Finally, with the help of my husband, I got an appointment with a Doctor. Not to a "free clinic" this time. On Friday, we went to Mountain Health Care, and the doctor (which is my husband's doctor also) diagnosticed me with Plantar Fasciitis plus Aquiles Tendonitis both caused by. The good part was the payment. We thought it was more expensive than $100.00 or so, so we group $150.00 just in case but in the end it was just $27.00 dollars including samples for the medication plus prescription from the doctor. I just wish I might last until December when my benefits will pick up. The pain is still unbearable when I come home from work at least, so I have to stay strong and not give up on that package.

Most doctors will give plenty of samples to their patients if they have them and know the patient can't afford to pay for them. Once a drug goes into generic status, the drug reps don't pass them out anymore.

I'm glad you found a doctor that is reasonably priced without having to wait months for a free clinic doctor.  I'm not a real fan of this health care program they are trying to pass because the way it's written right now, so many stupid things are included.  The country needs something, but not what the sneaky politicians and shoving down out throats.  Whatever happens as far as care in the future, it will be a great help to those who have no insurance or underinsured.

@TheEmeraldPixie - I found out this morning on a radio show that almost 54% of the congress are millionaires? I'm sorry but doesn't suppose to elect candidates that knows the middle class, the working poor in this country? Why we're electing these bozos anyway? About Health Care once again, we're under control of the Private Health Insurers, instead of the government. Why Politicians are complicating this issue that Europeans who have Fair Health Care fix that problem easily?
