  • This is not new

Regular CEO's with no jobs "pretending" that everything is alright wasting their "severance" pay as a temporary safety net is a common attitude in this country. Instead of using their severance pay to pay their debts (if they have some) they're using indiscriminately to waste. They don't like the idea of finding a job that pays less of what they used to earn, they rather starve mentally than getting into a lower income. Not only CEO's are "struggling" but middle class workers are even worst in this crisis. And still employers like Bank of America wants to hire Foreign Labor because first:

    • Foreigners don't ask or demand for a raise. It will be minimum wage.
    • No insurance benefits, no 401k's, not even severance pay or relocation pay if you move to get to that job.
    • Every investment they put on a employee means loss when their business starts to gain less from their profits.
No businesses today will like to give too much. No wonder this economy is crumbling down! It's every person for himself now-a-days, where the government thinks that giving unemployed individuals, and head of households leftovers for a short period of time thinking they could find a job quickly, it's the right thing to do when they're plain mistaken, because the reality of it is that laid-off employees can't afford getting a job that's lower that what they use to earn, and definitely there's no way they could let go their stubburness to at least save their skin, for their families and themselves.

One thing is for certain: Companies are no longer giving away "benefits", "promotions," among other incentives to make the employee feel he's valuable, for then being rewarded for it as the years goes by, instead as their productivity becomes down, they just let the employee go with no money and decide to hire someone for less. These practices are downright for the benefit of the corporations. But who do we trust? The government for help? Because the government really not seems to help like it did before, or it used to. It will leave you in the streets begging to find something to eat or stay. Or helping ourselves to try to keep unsuccessfully their heads above water, which in many cases we ending up sinking anyway?

If this is what we deserve for being citizens? Being in the streets?
